- Hi Fred, If the washers are available I always put them back in place. They do help keep the vibration down, especially on worn differentials. The trick I use is to put the first one on the long diff

- The opinion seemed to be divided on how important those washers are. I would guess that if they are "beaten up" when removed, they must be doing something. So I guess for the sake of an accurate rest
