- I took my 78 Midget for a 100 mile trip today, and at the end of it (back home) discovered a small puddle of oil on the floor below the oil / water gauge. A quick peek behind the dash confirmed that

- Fortunately mine is easier to remove... the oil line is white flex plastic with plenty of slack. I can pull the gauge out about 6". This is a relatively recently installed gauge. There is a "big" nut

- Steve ... Sounds like they might have got smart with the flex to the gauge ... Do check and make sure there is a small gasket between the gauge and the pipe (looks like a really small donut) ... Bob
