It's my understanding that your EGT should be in the 1200 deg. range (rich) jto start with. After you make a run and get sorted out, start leaning to the 1300 deg. range. 1400 is getting on the lean

I assume these EGT readings are for a 4 stroke piston engine. I'd have a tough time using any of the EGT monitoring systems I've seen, since rotary engine exhaust runs in the 1700-2000 degree range.

Yeah, all rotary engins need a seperate fire system for the exhaust system. New rule. I think it's fair since you don't have any valves to burn. JB

Thanks for the absolutely CORRECT advice... My buddy had one of these already and I noticed that in fact he was pegging the gage.. so I went 5 inches down stream instead of the recommended 4".... Doc
