Dear netters, While we are discussing electrical problems, my brake lights don't work. This suggests the brake light switch in the pedal box cover- but what else would do this? What would you suggest

It may be oversimplifying, but it's easy to dislodge the bullet connector that feeds the switch. You might want to check it out, it's right by the left side bonnet hinge. Bud Krueger 52TD formerly 7

First test is to bridge the two connections at the switch. If the lights light, then something is amiss with the switch. It may simply need adjusting of its clearance with the pedal. Details are in
