I can verify that Pertronics Ignitor works fine with the stock Tiger tach. Last spring I installed the Ignitor with the standard coil and dist. and the tach works okay. The car ran better with the Ig

Not many have an "original" that still works but I believe (don't quote me on this -you can check it with a voltmeter) most coil balast resistors reduce voltage to about 8-volts. Mallory can give one
