I don't know where the recommended attachment point is, but I just pulled and re-installed the engine in my '72 B. I screwed a bolt into one of the threaded holes on the passenger side of the engine

Paul, I've done this oodles, twice in one day in fact (don't ask!) and have always used the valve cover studs. I use a short length of heavy chain bolted to the two studs and lift in the middle. YMMV

Im far from an expert having done more watching than actual pulling but the best location(s) seem to be the two bolts on the top of the valve cover mike robson 69 roadster (watched) 70 BGT(never been
