- I just had to replace the old exhaust system on my SV in order to get it safety inspected. It only had a muffler, no resonator, or vice versa, I don't really no which and it was old and rusted out.

- You could use a hole saw to drill a straight through passage in your muffler. This would make it a little louder and reduce the backpressure caused by the baffles inside the muffler. loud,,,,,,,,but

- Did you get your system from Sunbeam Specialties? I did, and it sounds real nice. Very throaty and loud under heavy acceleration. CNA

- (amount of noise) you get and the resonator influences the tone and where it occurs in the rev range. Eg my Commodore had a good V8 burble but tended to have an annoying 'drone' at highway speeds -

- Thanks to everyone on their thoughts on my exhaust. I ended up just removing the rear resonator and it sounds like a sports car. I admit the radio is harder to hear and if I were to go on along road
