In prep for removal of the engine in my 75 1500 midget I'd like to remove both manifolds. Got four upper nuts off studs and two outside lower ones. the two inside lower ones have those long nut head

They are one of those things you cuss every time. I've always been able to one of my open ended wrenches onto them in such a manner as to be able to get minute amount of torque and turning. /// unsub

Mark: I get on my back behind the front wheel well and reach up and under the manifold with a combination wrench and remove the two hidden nuts. Slow going and a bit of a stretch, but it works. --Dav

I did this with a tiny monkey wrench. You might find it easier to pull the motor with the manifolds on and then with it removed lay the engine on its side to get at the bolts afterwards. Nick /// uns

Hello Dbcooper292, I have a an open end wrench that is 1/2" and 7/16" inch on the other end. I took a torch and bent that wrench about 40 degrees. I find that is a good tool to loosen those two nuts.
