I have been using the steel fig-8 seals with Aircraft type Permatex. Just a light coating. I have found that with too much it gets down along side the skirt of the sleeve and makes disassembly much m

If you put in too much of that sealant, the excess will harden in the water passages which will prevent good heat transfer and can cause your engine to overheat. Do we want to go around that one agai
