Generally, lighter flywheels pick up RPM faster, which may not be want you want in LSR racing. Momentum is a good thing over the longer haul, and quick jumps in RPM are sometimes associated with whee

Can't see that a heavy flywheel could hurt top speed runs, might even help. As far as I'm concerned the only reason for a light flywheel would be for quick engine RPM, which would not be an advantage
