- Another way if you have roof trusses: I haven't tried this one, but am thinking about it as I've got a TD to do. 1) Jack the car up under the front cross member at the height you need to put the jack

- I once did this by having a friend sit in the engine bay. You could also do it by looking a chain under your jack and over the x-member to keep the car from being able to lift up. James Nazarian 71 B
