Although I am mostly a lurker, I am coming out of the computer screen to ask this question. My 79, 1500 runs great with a downdraft weber, headers, 4 speed, and no other modifications that I am aware

my guess is that you are probably jetted on the rich side. it's time to read the plugs and see what color they are. i suspect though it may be running well it is too rich. chuck

I would invest in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. About 25 bucks. Most fuel pumps put out a bit too much pressure. That Weber should like around 1.5 psi. I found in all of the applications I'

That is true too--I run 35 lb. in mine, a subject that we beat to death a while back. The car just seems to be freeer wheeling and better handling with the higher pressure, plus it probably does help
