I have the same problem. I have a later O/D that doesn't have the dipstick on my 70B. My odometer always reads about 30% less. Does anyone have a 1000 that would fit the 70B dash? Jim 70B 69C

A week or so ago, I mentioned that I was still fiddling with my recently restored 72B in hopes of improving its poor gas mileage. It was running at 12 mpg but various tweakings brought it up to maybe

Sounds like your gearbox is putting out 1000 turns per mile while the odometer is looking for 1280. Installing the 5230/13 1000 speedometer should get you very close to correct mileage readings. Barn
