I have close ratio gears in a TR6 box. It's a pleasure to drive and I feel no need whatsoever to have OD on top of it. Did you find a source for CR gears? mike

use the close ratio. the od is just one more thing to go wrong, maintain or just plain mess with. the cr gears coupled with some alternate rear end ratios should make a lap time difference. ted -- Te

The close ratios have no electrons to leak and weigh 25 pounds less. No contest i my book. Keep it simple. Mine work great and haven't had to fidle with Mr Lucas once. Cheers Bill Burroughs, #195 196
