Ok all, I have a general question. On my '71B there are two chome-headed bolts on the rear deck just forward of the trunk lid. Each bolt has a plastic "tab" that says, "Lift Here". These are factory

Those bolts are for the seatbelts! My '68 MGB has them; they are the anchor for the shoulder belt. Perhaps your car now has some other form of seatbelt? Benjy. edwards.181@osu.edu 1968 MGB MkII - Min

Those bolts are for the shoulder straps of the DOT required 3 point seat belts. They were kinda clugey as the belt had to be unlatched when the top was put up or down. The plastic chunk mated with a
