Rather than measuring the head thickness, you should really be measuring the thickness from the surface that mates with the block to the top of the combustion chamber. That is the important part! The

Not all 1500 heads were created equal. Some are more equal than others!! :) In general they range from 9/16 to 5/8" from the top of the combustion chamber to the deck surface. /// triumphs@autox.team
