Wasn't it Colin Chapman who advised to go faster, "add lightness"? Don't know if he ever thought of going after the driver, instead of the car. Glad your maiden run worked out. Perseverance is obvio

funny in retrospect but a friend of my father's tried to loose as much weight as possible to win a championship back in the 60's. he became so sick he ended up bed ridden for a while regaining fluids
