Allen, I use the narrowest rim that's recommended for the particular tire. If you go narrower the tire will peel off of the rim sooner in the event of a spin. If you go wider it messes up the tread p

It all depends ont he tire you use. Typical Goodyears would mount on a 4.5 to 5.5 x 15" wheel. The big M/T's fit on 6 to 7 x 18" wheels. The Goodyear Talladega's fit on 8 to 9 x 15". John -- Original
