- Hi Glen, Great idea! I already have the laser level too. RE: the fluorescent bulb, been doing this for a while and love the "no heat" factor too, but be aware that the glass can easily be broken too

- I tried a couple of them in place of regular incandescent bulbs, noting the "savings" of paying 10 times as much for one of them as a regular bulb, because they are supposed to last so much longer. C
