After rebuilding mine last year, I found it to be pretty straight forward to rebuild. My advice to you is two-fold. 1.) If it's not leaking, don't fix it. 2.) If #1 is true, save your $ and buy beer

I rebuilt mine for my 250 and it was easy the only tool I had to buy was a 1/2 allen key to remove the nut so the piston comes out. Steve Yezo 68 TR250 74 Spitfire

And if you have trouble finding a 1/2 inch allen wrench a long 1/2 inch nut like is used to join threaded rod and a socket wrench will do the job nicely. Sam
