One simple thing to check is the fuel filter. The condition of your plugs sounds as if you are running rich but since this semms to have just started without warning I would look at the filter. ...Ar

Had this problem on my V8, it was the points with too big a gap. Despite repeated checks with a feeler gauge it was only when I adjusted it according to a dwell meter that the problem cleared. PaulH.
