Best guess. A large "backfire out the pipes" is describing a fuel accumulation in the exhaust system. This implies incomplete combustion of the inducted mixture, and a very rich exhaust. Steve -- St

A healthy backfire will do wonders to clear out that nuisance silencer material in the mufflers and pipes. Didn't Get Smart Tiger shoot flames on demand from the pipes. Sounds like you are really run
