About a week ago, the key switch in my 1974 MGB got stuck in the 3rd position, which is the cranking one. I could remove the key, but not turn things off. This happened after the engine had started,

Bad switch or wrong one. The '75 I'm working on has 4 positions: 1)lock, 2) off, 3) ignition on, and 4) start. Could it be that you have one with too many or too few positions? Regards, Lew Palmer He

If the ignition-powered things like warning light, gauges, turn signals etc. work with the switch in the 'run' position then the switch is OK, check the connection to the coil. If not do the wire col
