I have Cooper Response RST they are 185/70R14 I have been very happy with them. I think that you can fit 195s on an MG without any problems. James Nazarian '71 B roadster '71 BGT rust free and burnt

I just have put 185/70 x 14 in. This is on chromed wired wheels, which normally are a bit wider than the rostyles and painted ww's. All goes well, but I advise to have the spare wheel a smaller size.

I think the width is alright but 185 70 would be roughly the same diameter as the originals. The tires you bought will change your speedo reading. Your car will also sit a little lower. I know there

Most MGBs run a 165X14 series 78 tire. My preference is a 175X14. A series 60 tire is too low a profile, and will rotate too fast. You dont need a lower gear ratio in high gear. which is what you ar

For the 66, the radial option was 155/14 (a bit higher than 80 on aspect ratio but close enough). Talon tire in Canada has good pricing on the Kumho in 165. http://www.talontire.com/cgi-bin/sizesearc

I run Cooper Trend Setter SEs in 185/70-R14, with radial tubes, on my stock wires. Speedo reads about right with these and the car handles well with them. Also, they have a sporty car looking tread.
