I just got around to doing this myself a couple weeks ago. If you have the same spin-on adapter I have (sounds like it), I simply removed the old cannister and replaced it with the spin-on head. You

Did you remove the bushing from the old cannister? There is a bushing that goes between the pipe fitting and the cannister/filter head. You should be able to remove it from the old cannister and dire

Hi Ron, a little off the subject but, That's because when you use a conversion kit for the spin on oil filter a internal relief valve inside the filter is required. I just went through this on my TD.
