- Years ago I had an Austin America which had a light that indicated if the oil filter was by passing oil due to clogging. Anyone have any info as to part numbers or engine references so I can put this

- The senosr that activates the light is on the oil filter assembly on the 1098's and many 1275's. I say this because the first Spridget I got was a 65, and it had the light. It didn't have an engine,

- .... and don't be alarmed when the light comes on soon after an oil change.... you probably loosened the wire from its tenuous connection and it is touching the housing.. grounding... lighting.. worr
