That is NOT an oil pressure warning light. It is a dirty oil filter light. Change the oil and filter and hope the light goes out. Double check that the wire at the oil filter is not disconnected and

The first year or so of the 1500s had the guage still. By then they figured out that actually seeing the oil pressure on a 1500 was troubling to the psyche, so they replaced it with a light to tell

Seriously (!), I believe the light was put in for the '77 model, when the electric temp gage (from MGB?) was also put in. Me? I bought an oil pressure gage from a late 70's MGB and I'm putting that
