I bought a stainless steel kettle at Walmart for $6.99 a couple of weeks back. This evening I emptied some water out and it was brown. Sure 'nuff the freaking thing is rusting from the inside! Happy

There are many grades of SS. And SS is not the perfect metal. It doesn't oxidize like other steels but it isn't impervious to elements, either.

That must go with my stainless steel roll-a-round cooler for the patio. 5 lbs of ice and a six pack of 12 ounce cans and the legs bent! So it sat outside on the deck all summer cause my wife paid too
