To run 200 MPH at 7,800 RPM you will need a 3.18 gear. A 3.25 gear should get you 200 MPH at 8,000 RPM. Based on your 195 MPH runs at 6,700 RPM, I'd say a 3.0 gear will get you 200 MPH at 7,400 RPM,

Hi Grib, Assuming that the timing (cam and dist) is the same as last year. I think that I'd put new, softer tires, soften the rear suspension and not change too many things at once. Winston Cup guys

Hey Ya'll, Thanks for the input. It's valuable and well appreciated. One other thing I thought of is that this car has truck arms and I can easily drop the front mounts to give a greater pinion angle

I was following this discussion and I think you may be on the right track. We run a Hooters Pro Cup car and we adjust pinion angle both at the front of the truck arms and by "wedging" the housing. M
