Well I believe I have tried all suggestions. I checked out the 79's coolant temperature when the thermostat opens; it's 160 degrees like the NEW thermostat says it should be, I "burped" the bubbles o

My experience is that at 90 it isn't going to get hot. You've got about a 90mph wind blowing over your radiator, and your fan does little at that speed anyway. When you are stopped is where you have
