I am using a "general" thermostat that fits Ford 302, and a variety of other Ford and Chevy engines. I did drill a 3/16" hole in the lip so that a small amount of water could flow through the thermo

Originally the 2000 rads were 3 core and the 1600 rads were 2 core but they are the same physical size. Since most rad shops would recommend a 3 core rad for any replacement, they are for all purpose

this is a subtle warning indeed! Application of silicon sealant as a "quick fix" is fraught with problems. Any excess is squeezed out as "silicon worms" and causes severe problems elsewhere in the c

Did your car start overheating recently. I noticed in the pictures it had a bra on it now. Could this be the culprit? It looks like it has a fine mesh over the grill area. Maybe it is inhibiting air

I just had my radiator redone with a 3 row high efficiency core. It seems to have made a big difference. My car hasn't run this cool in years. The old 2 row radiator slowly got to be about 30% clogg

I agree with silicone causing problems. I had a BMW 633 that overheated. After troubleshooting the cause was silicone used when a previous owner replaced the water pump. Glen

If you don't already have a 3 row core you should. A new rad will make a dramatic difference depending on the condition of your current one. My 2000 stroker still runs warm even w/a new rad but it wo

I bought a new Nissan thermostat a couple of years ago and had lots of problems. Replaced it with a Stant 180 for a Z-car from Shuck's and it's been fine since.
