Ah well you can only put a buckle switch on the drivers side as the driver is always present. You need a way to tell if the passenger is present or not, so they went with the "but" sensor :) Duncan

I guess I was a little too vague. Both seatbelts have sensors to tell whether they have been buckled or not. The switch in the passenger seat is to determine whether to ignore the passenger seatbelt
