My preference is the Pertronix for reasons of cleanliness. I installed the Crane / Allison setup in my B and it was a pain to mount the extra stuff. Everything under the cap is a beautiful thing. Do

My Bugeye racer also has the Pertonix- the PO bought a first unit in late 1998, and it quickly expired- same problem as mentioned before, I believe - faulty ground. A second unit was fitted in early
