As far as the wire wheels go, British Wire Wheels used to replace bad spokes and true wire wheels but has stopped doing this. The labor cost to loosen the spokes and true them is way too much. They n

cracked head I would add to this: Smoke on start up, then clearing up, is valve guides. Burning oil when you accelerate hard, on the other hand, usually indicates worn/broken rings. -NORY Don't assum
