My guess is that you don't have contact between the inner wire and the antenna, so that the antenna isn't connected at all. Try disconnecting the coax from the bottom of the antenna completely; I sus

It sounds like you have a problem with the radio. The antenna works the same way for AM as it does for FM. If you are getting reception with one or both the antenna is working. Try this: Unplug the a
