Ok, I don't want to open up the whole cat discussion again on here (although most will have forgotten it - it was several years back) - Best bait for traps is peanut butter. That's all I know.

I believe I heard somewhere that mothballs can dissuade rodents from taking up residence. But I have also heard that rats can actually eat mothballs and survive. So your mileage may vary. -- Max Heim

I use mothballs in the winter. I had mice or voles or something in the shed before I started using them. No more.

I had a feral cat urinate in seat my new car when I left the window open in my driveway about 10 years ago. Wasn't a bit too happy about that.
