Had one of my engine mounts off yesterday to mig up a crack in the inner frame rail....well front sub or what ever ya want to call it. Noticed the red unremovable primer, on the heads of the 3 motor

Make sure you pull the bolt all the way out where the steering column attaches to the rack. It looked like a simple pinch clamp on the splines, but I found out (much) later that the steering rack st

As Bob mentioned the bolt on the lower U-joint goes through the splined shaft of the rack. You have to remove the bolt. Remove the bolt on the upper joint as well. Now you'll probably find you don't
