Has anyone had good luck with a particular retracting extension cord on a reel? I need something about 25', 120v with a single receptacle. I want one that holds up but doesn't cost too much more than

How about going to your local hardware store and picking up a 'trouble' light with retractable cords. Around the SF Bay area, they run about $50 at OSH. Then, for an additional $8, pick up another 25

Any Ace Hardware dealer should be able to order stock #32130 a retracting extension cord with 30 feet of cord with a receptacle end for about $25.00. I've had one for 4 to 5 years and it works fine.

I bought one from Sears several years ago, with a drop light and an incorporated outlet. It will not retract all by itself, you have to help push it in, but it hangs in the middle of my two car garag
