I am currently replacing the left lower quarter panel on my 61 Midget and someone talked about a counter sink rivet.No access to welder unfortunantly.Do I need a special rivet gun or just rivet?Any b

Any better ideas than rivets? Really strong glue? Seriously, I am going to take the side marker lights off my 73 so it looks older, and I am considering gluing a patch to the inside of the fender and

I use self drilling "zap" screws. the ones with the hex head. Zap em in, and gring off the heads as close as possible. Ding them in and putty them up. And Robert, on the side markers, zap the patches

If you can't borrow or find someone with a mig welder to weld it, I might try steel countersunk pop rivets, then bury the seam with milled fiberglass, feather it out and be done with it. mcmaster.com
