Yes there is a bushing on the lower end also. Nissan Motorsports sells a very inexpensive kit that uses aluminum bushings, which tighten up the shifter some. Kim 68 2000 71 510 2DR NOWROC

I tried the aluminum bushings and hated them. Too much vibration for a limited amount of increased shifter efficiency. Unless you race, use rubber bushings. My hand is still vvvvvvvvvvibrrrrrrrrating

Only time I ever managed to shear a roll pin in the transmission was using the aluminum shift bushings! The roll pin is what holds the shift fork to the rod. Little 50 cent item, but a pain to get o
