Oh Contraire..... I'm the one in the dark..... I won't buy another 4' fluorescent.... I've had nothing but trouble with mine..... I've got 18 in the main 28 X 48 and several more upstairs and so on..

Doug, you might talk to an electrician or lighting store about high output florescent fixtures.....these things put out about twice the light as regular ones. cost a little more, but worth it I think
