-- I've had a sealed lead-acid MOTORCYCLE battery in the left rear fenderwell of my Roadster for the last couple of years. No problems. It cranks just like a big boy, but wouldn't have the energy cap

Based on what Barrie says here, my next question is – Why the heck do we need those big batteries that normally take up so much room in the engine compartment? If all you need is a little cranking po

Yes I think we are missing something... reliability and peace of mind! Have you never had your roadster be just a little finicky about starting? The performance gain you get on the street is just not

Think of the bigger battery as insurance. Obviously, if it's been working for Barrie "for the last couple of years", it works. So, we don't "need" the big battery. But in this imperfect world, where

There are always tradeoffs ;-) For one thing, this is a heavy-duty battery, and they are not cheap. About $140 as I recall. These things have a two-year full replacement warranty, and after that you

I have an idea. There are a LOT of different battery sizes and shapes out there. Some folks have expressed concern about being stranded if they go with a smaller battery. This is understandable if u

I know what you guys mean about the reliability issue. To tell the truth, I was a bit apprehensive myself when I first made the conversion. Nobody wants to get stranded with a dead battery. Fact is,

Even if you dropped the cash for a motorcycle battery, it could be a one time investment. You could always get a Battery Tender during your down times. When I place my motorcycle in storage for the w

All this discussion has got me thinking. I too am relocating the battery to the trunk and do not want to sacrifice trunk space. Why not take advantage of both rear fender wells and run the battery's

Isolators are used to separate the main battery from an auxiliary battery so that draining the aux batt doesn't drain the main battery. You don't want to run down the RV's battery while you're out ca
