Thats an age old problem. You are picking up the winding noise from your generator/alternator via the electrics of the car. You need to put a condensor or what I think is called an arrestor or supres

Sounds like high tension ignition noise. It can usually be cured by the application of a small condenser externaly mounted near the coil and connected (If I remember right) to the + side of the coil.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions on this. It turned out to be poor spark plug wires. Either that or they didn't have the built in suppressors. I replaced with a new set and wala...no more noise.
