On a 1966 Mk3 Sprite, how is the rear cockpit liner (item AHA8232 ??) attached to the car? Can I open two holes on it and mount a pair of speakers on it, or is there a metal body panel behind it ? Th

The P.O. of my Mk3 put a set of small speakers in that rear panel. If you look in from the boot, you'll see that the panel is just fiberboard with no metal at all. So go for it! Scott Johnston +++++

Evangelos, if you are looking for really good sound (if possible in a Spridget), you can replace the cardboard rear panel with piece of wood. This would also preserve your original panel for later us

P.S.: When removing the panel by drilling out the rivets, my rivets started to spin with the drill and ruined the vinyl :( So watch out for that. Ulix __/__,__ .......................................
