On older sprites (4.22 rear), 1000 rpm in 3rd == 10 mph, almost exactly. Was quite useful in my first beater sprite, with no 4th gear and no speedo. Just run at 5500 rpm in 3rd on the highway (on the

On my Scimitar, when I am in overdrive top gear, the speedo and the tach are in the same relative position up to about 70 mph, then the tach moves up faster. The gearing is such 27 mph/1000 revs, and
