- Obviously internal, could be something loose, more likely a gear stripped. It's fairly delicate inside there so if your only tools are a BFH and a welding torch ...

- Whereas 5230/13 is an MGB speedo (North America 74 to 76 1000 tpm) the 5230/02 isn't. If it quotes the same tpm it would be geared correctly (for example 5230/06 and 5230/08 are both 1280 tpm and a 5

- Tom, I can't give you any info on who works on the Smith's, but the correct number for the speedo for your unit probably is 5227/12. This is what mine reads for a 69 B with overdrive. You can confirm
