i see int eh manual for 1980 they had grease plugs for each rear wheel bearing? Anybody find those? are they replaceable with zirc fittings?

Better still, keep the plugs handy to use in the zerk holes in your universal joints. If you put zerks in the U-Joints, they will either be too short and you won't get a grease gun in there, or too l

Good advice for the most part. But most of the "plugs" I've ever seen for the rear wheel bearing grease ports have hex-heads about 7/16" across and won't work in the u-joint. --Andy * * * * * * * * *

Greetings men, If small plugs are unavailable, I use the short zerks as plugs, remove them for the long ones when lubrication is needed, and put the short ones back when I'm finished. Bill Brockschmi

Hi Dan Yes and Yes. The plugs are at about six o'clock from the shaft and inside of the trunnion, 2" from the back plate from memory. Graham.
