Hey 6packers...for the last month or so my car has refused to start consistently because the starter does not kick in; specifically, every ten or fifteen turns of the ignition results in one session

If the clicking is coming from the relay near the wiper motor, that is the starter relay first fitted to the TR6 in 1974. Irv Korey 74 TR6 CF22767U Highland Park, IL

As previously mentioned, the relay near the wiper motor is the starter interlock relay. If your car is a 74-1/2 (has the rubber baby buggy bumpers) then this relay will interlock the car to prevent

Unless yours is like mine. It clicked, but due to an internal break, the message never got to the starter. A replacement relay solved the problem. And this is on all 74's, not just the 74 1/2. Irv Ko
