Enrique-- My future brother-in-law, an electric motor repairman, says he tests starters out of the car that way. He just holds the motor down with his foot and touches leads from a battery to the ter

It may spin that way but still may not be a good starter. You need to test it under load. I wouldn't be too concerned. It only takes 15 minutes to remove. ...Art
