Starting an MG newsgroup would not limit the number of messages, nor the content, but would download to your machine faster. You'd still have all the same good stuff, just a bit faster and more organ

Nory makes a very good point. Newsgroups can be a pain, especially with floods of commercial postings. I think too, because lists take some effort to find and subscrbe to, you get a more civil group
